What education finance teams ask us first.
We pay 300+ visiting faculty and trainers a month. How is TDS handled?
Each invoice is read and matched to the PAN on the trainer's vendor record. Section 194J is applied at the right rate at approval, deducted at 20% when there is no PAN, and the deduction sits on the voucher that posts to your books — so the quarterly return reconciles to what was actually paid.
Our degree programmes are GST-exempt but our certification courses are taxed. Can one system handle both?
Yes. Each programme carries its own tax treatment, so a lab vendor's invoice booked to an exempt programme does not claim input credit, while the same vendor billing a taxable course does. Treatment is decided line by line, not per vendor.
Does spend split by campus and batch in Tally?
Every transaction posts with its centre, programme and batch as cost centres, so cost per batch and creditor ageing per campus are live views in the books you already keep — Tally, Zoho Books, NetSuite or Oracle.
Exam bodies abroad bill us in dollars. How do those fees get paid and booked?
On a virtual card dedicated to that exam body, with a limit per intake. The charge posts in INR at the bank's rate with the forex difference on its own line, and the body's receipt is matched to the card transaction automatically.
Can student refunds and scholarships run through the same approvals?
Yes — as bank-connected payouts. A refund or scholarship list is approved like any payment run, released from your own account, and reconciled the same day, with the approval trail kept against each student.
Bring one trainer invoice and your fee-refund list. We'll run both live.
